I was feeling stuck in my work so I stopped thinking and just started painting, seeing where things would go. These earthy tones started to come out - grounding and wholesome, and then the bright and rich pinks joined. I wonder if I returned to the landscape of my childhood in Australia. Whatever it was, it ignited a new set of work and so this is a special and pivotal piece.
